The
Kestrel 170T double kayak is a "crossover" tandem. It's
shorter than a touring kayak and longer than a recreational kayak.
The easy to enter and egress cockpits are positioned far enough
apart to allow non-synchronized paddling, and also makes room for
a center hatch.
All the other features
you expect in a Kestrel are present, including dual paddle rests
for each cockpit, and fishing rod holder platforms. A rudder is
standard. Current Designs builds the 170T in fiberglass / Kevlar
composite hybrid for reduced weight at a lower cost.
