RENTALS
Per each additional
day after seven days, add $20 for standard models, $25 for the Tripper.
$30 for the Kevlar Tripper/Sea Clipper and $35 for the MacKenzie.
Included Equipment - Canoes: Three paddles, two pfds, bailer, car
top kit, throw bag, whistles All canoes in our rental fleet are Clipper
canoes.

RENTAL CONDITIONS
• Renters
must sign a waiver assuming the responsibility of the equipment and one
of personal responsibility.
• Reservations are welcome. We will refund 80% of deposit if reservation
is cancelled more than 2 weeks in advance, and 50% if cancelled less than
two weeks.
• Any damaged or lost gear will be charged to the renter at full retail
price.
• A late return penalty will be charged at the daily rate.
• There is a $20 clean boat fee if boat is brought back dirty. The renter
has the option of cleaning the boat here to avoid the penalty.
• Those interested in renting whitewater kayaks must have prior experience
with credible references or belong to the Whitewater Association of BC.
• If a purchase of canoe or kayak is made within thirty days of the rental
date, the rental fee up to $100 may be deducted from the purchase price.
• Weekend rental is two days if picked up after 3 p.m. on Friday and returned
by noon on Monday.
• Long weekend rates are three days and may be picked up Friday after
3 p.m. and returned any time Tuesday.

Safety
Guidelines:
• Familiarize
yourself and become comfortable with your boat.
• Develop your paddling skills including braces, rolls and rescues
• Get into the habit of always bringing safety equipment for every trip
• Wear clothing appropriate for weather and water conditions
• Let someone know where you will be going and when you may be expected
to return.
• Become familiar with the area you are planning to paddle in. For example,
talk to the local people.
• Get a weather forecast for each day and become sensitive to changes
in the wind, clouds, temperature, etc.
• The most important danger to paddlers is hypothermia. Learn about hypothermia
and dress appropriately.
• Wear a personal flotation device (life jacket) at all times
• Never paddle further away from shore than you are prepared to swim
• Carry extra flotation for river trips, and always scout ahead
• Install bow and stern lines
