The Storm is Current Designs first rotomolded plastic kayak. Designed
and built to handle tremendous abuse, the Storm will offer years

a member of Current Designs famous Solstice line of kayaks. It is
beautifully appointed with features far superior to any other plastic
kayak on the market today.
When paddling the Storm you will immediately feel comfortable with
its stability, while sensing its lively hull wanting to perform.
It glides effortlessly through the water with superb tracking and
excellent maneuverability. The Storm has been used on many extensive
trips with tremendous success. A rugged linear polyethylene hull
gives it a unique combination of strength, stiffness and impact
resistance. Special ultraviolet stabilizers are added to the plastic
to help prevent breakdown caused by the suns ultra violet rays.
The Storms recessed deck fittings accommodate a very clean deck
rigging system with full perimeter deck lines. The rudder mounting
and blade locator slot are molded right into the rear deck, thus
eliminating any potential leak sources from screws. A unique uphaul/downhaul
lever system for the fully retractable rudder blade makes using
the rudder a breeze. Bow and stern hatches have a custom molded
soft, rubberlike hatch cover which fits over the hatch flange. This
provides a completely waterproof seal covered by a protective hard
cover which is held in place with nylon webbing and buckles. Lively,
rugged and affordable - the Storm sets a new standard for plastic
kayaks.
